Hi, everybody! Urgently need your advice about purchasing new blender. I had Oster Rapid, it was making almost everything what I wanted: crushing ice, fruits and vegetables, making soups, smoothies, creams e. g., but, unfortunately, broke down (I don't know, may'cause of the small capacity). Have read a lot of articles, comparisons, forums, most advised me this Ninja topchoice.best/main-review/best-countertop-blenders. And OMG in 2 months it died(((((( Waiting for your useful recommendations! My family won't endure another corpse. Need something powerful, but not very expensive. Thank's a lot in advance!

I use a Ninja Professional Blender (BL660)and have had it for a couple years now. We make a lot of protein smoothies using frozen fruit, and few times we used the mixing bowl for cookies but thats about it, kinda an overkill blender for what we need but what ever, a guy i work with has a Vitamix 5300 and swears by it.

Could always get a Blendtec and shred anything you want to put in it.

like everything it all depends on what you want to spend in the end

Another vote for ninja. Have had one for 5 years without problems and their very powerful. Big blades and lots of them. Not sure what model I got.

I have a ninja, and actually don't mind it for the price. If you're able to, get a blendtec. They're expensive but they'll turn an avocado pit into dust.

Don't know what the difference is but the Ninja and the Nutri Ninja always get generally good reviews. My son has one or the other for smoothies and likes it.

Blend Tec or Vitamix are the best but several hundred dollars.

This is what I use. It has held up OK. Most of the development money probably went into the mixer though. :)

Consumer Reports recommended Vitamix and Blendtec which (as Shann noted) are expensive. Their cheaper picks:

Jamba 58916
Dash Chef Series
Ninja BL642

I bought my mom a Blendtec last X-Mas & she loves it, says it will blend anything you could possibly need to blend with ease. Also like the container a lot because of it's shape it helps push everything into the blades. I have a simple Oster & it's always got the job done for me.

Jamba Juice, Whole Foods, and other juice bars use Vitamix, but I'm reading how they're neck and neck with Blendtec. If you read the Amazon reviews, Blendtec may be slightly ahead.

Porsche vs Ferrari. Even if you lose, you still win. Either will do nicely at that level. :D

I have a Vitamix. After years of owning blenders that don't last I decided to go with something that (hopefully) will last. What I've paid for other blenders in the past would have more than paid the price of the Vitamix. It's expensive, but it's made in the U.S.A.

Vitamix has very good deals on refurbished blenders with the same warranty as new. Vitamix has a 30 day trial period and when blenders are sent in they go over them and replace the blade and sell them as refurbished. I picked up my blender at Kitchen Collection in an outlet mall. It was about $100 cheaper than the same blender at Costco.

We've had ours for over a year now and it's still working great. We use it almost daily for making smoothies and even made soup in it once.

We've had blend tech for years, and they are great. Really easy to deal with if you have warranty issues (we had an old blender go bad on us and they sent us a brand new one)

My Vitamix is over 10 years old, works great

Mine is also 10 years old. The only thing that failed is the speed control pot. I bought a pot at Radio Shack that was better then the original for $2.

If I didn't have the Vitamix, I'd probably go for the Ninja.

The wife ordered a Ninja off of QVC a couple years back. I had never heard of them, and thought it was probably a POS, but it is great.
She got another version that is more a mini processor, and that sucker shreds cheese like crazy. We shred a lot of cheese and it hasn't slowed down at all...
