Has anyone used on of these knives as a Bush Craft Knife? I have seen similar designs and I have met LT and Dan at many Knife shows in Indianapolis. I have not purchased on yet but was leaning towards it. Any one have any feedback?

I've heard a lot of good things about them, supposed to be a really upstanding, quality company. I've never handled one of their blades. The hollow grind turned me off.

I like mine. And, LT and his partner were at PWYP picking the minds of many expert outdoorsmen, so I am sure they will be refining their designs based upon the opinions of people like Terrill Hoffman, and Marty Simon amongst others...

Everyone who has interaction with them has nothing but great things to say about them -- great guys as well as interesting knives.

I met LT yesterday at the Wolverine Knife Collector Show. Talked to him for a couple minutes. Seems like a very nice guy. He sold my son on the Small Workhorse with blue/black micarta. I'll be ordering it as part of his HS graduation gift. He also went into some detail about their sheaths, carry options and the Mech Harness . Looks like very nice stuff. I might have to order a matched, father/son pair ;).

LT did mention that BHK has its own subforum at that other site.

I did spend a lot of time with L.T. And his partner Dan and we talked a lot about knives, also gave them some pointers on the bow drill and ferrocerium rod. Also told them how I feel about hollow grind knives but I still bought 2 tiger stripe neck knives and a really nice little maple burl handle knife for Aggie.
They are really nice guys and are making some real quality knives. You'll be hearing a lot more about them in the future.

Oh and redscorpion6, they are working on a knife that's more in the Bushcraft vein. The proto is being worked on and tweaked, so no worries - just patience.

They are indeed super nice, want to learn about this market segment, and make some fantastic knives.

A bought a small Tiger Knapp, brought it home and my wife quickly absconded with it, while my daughter yelled "That's pretty!" Subsequently ordered a small TK for my daughter (which L.T. and Dan put a special little touch on for her) and a Fiddleback Maple patch knife for myself.

Up and coming, definitely.

I like the looks of the maple patch knife, but dont give the stats on that one for some reason.

When I read an article in Tactical knives mag about them it said they also made the knives with flat or convex edges as well as hollow !

Women who aren't into knives seem to LOVE the Tiger Knapp pattern engraved in the blade.

I have concluded it is the best knife for converting a female skeptic. Bar none.

i have been eye balling their knives a lot lately... i may need to sell a few more of my knives and get a BHK (or 2)....:D i really like those work knives...

I've never handled one, so take this for what it is worth. However, I'm not sure that having the tang protrude above and below the slabs will be very comfortable for extended use. But, I've been wrong before.

After handling them this past week end, I can say there is no problem with the tang being wider than the slabs. The tang is only slightly larger (maybe 1/16") and the edges are rounded a bit. You don't even notice.

For some reason, the knife in the pic does appear to have a little more exposed than the Small Work Horse I handled at the show.

The slabs are removable so one could take 'em off and remove a little steel in the handle to make them flush, or put larger scales on it if became an issue.
