I didn't even notice if LT Wright had any BHK Bushcrafters at the recent Chesapeake Knife Show, I zoned in on the patch knives. Didn't get one, but I did get to chat with LT, who is a good guy. Met him last year at the Frederick MD knife show. I have had two of the small Workhorses, and one of the larger Workhorses, and found them to be great knives. The handles were a little thin for my paws, and all three left the herd :foot:. I was on the BHK site again last night after doing some research on the term bushcraft, and "rediscovered" the Bushcrafter. I am not worried about the 4140 steel, but would like to hear others reviews of the knife. I would love to trade for one, other than that, it is another one to add to the wish list. Very good price too. I really want to know if the handles are thicker than the Workhorses. I'm looking for the longer versions too.

I haven't posted here much but I'll thro in my .02.The BHK bushcrafter is a great knife, have had no issues with the 4140 steel.Strop's up to a hair shaving edge. The handles are very comfortable and measure about 7/8 in.wide X 1 1/8. I've used mine quite a bit and really like it.

Well, heck I gotta join in and say I love mine too, great blade. It has been my primary woods knife since I got it and I really have zero complaints. Love it, and I hope to get more form them soon!

I don't have one but considered getting one quite seriously. My only hesitation is the that the blade is a tad too short for an all around bushcraft knife. But then again, I like my bushcrafters more on the larger (towards 5") side of things. Great kephart-like blade shape and looks to be a super comfy handle.

I got mine last night. I want to play with it this weekend and post a review, if at all possible. I will tell you that right out of the box, this knife had no irksome disappointments and I almost always find at least a few things I wish were different when I get a new knife. No knocks against the makers with that last statement - mostly my personal preferences. It even has a secondary bevel that I may just be able to work with and I do not get along with secondary bevels - again, a personal preference. The handle is bone simple and feels great - tapered from the middle to each end; across the sides to the front and from top to bottom to the rear. That oval/egg shape handles extremely well. It stropped in very nicely and it's good looking to boot. I would have opted for no steel coloration myself but it will wear off or I can take it off. The JRE sheath is trim and light and the whole package is a bit of a steal, if you ask me. I don't generally like to offer so much about a knife before using it more but I am confident I won't be tasting shoe leather over my comments.

The bonus; you'll be dealing with some great people when you buy one.
