Well, Blind Horse knives is finite, kaput, no more. LT and Dan have parted ways, per their website. I had a lot of nice BHKs pass through my hands, my only one left is the Brumby. I passed on a Brumby lite at a gun show, now I'm trying to get my paws on it from the same dealer. Many of my offerings had, or have, micarta scales. They had some really nice wood and stag/bone scale covers, and some very nice traditional patterns. I'd like to see your traditional BHK's.

Let's send BHK out in style.

Never got the chance to own one, but I liked several of their offerings. It's a shame. I've been interested in a bushcrafter.

LT and Dan will have their own respective knife companies, and each company will honor BHK warranties. Jack, it is a shame. I enjoyed reading their magazine Self Reliance Illustrated, and enjoyed their podcast, BHK Outdoors. Better just put my BHK knife and hat away for safe keeping now ;).

I read this and put in an order right away for a bushbaby (flat grind), while the shop still had one.

Well, anyone who wants one is in luck, plenty still for sale on the web. I'd been looking at the Brumby Lite for a while now, just ordered one today.

Seems like no hurt feelings, now just two companies instead of one. Wish 'em both the best.

L.T. Said they will still be offering a lot of peoples favorite patterns. As much as I love my bhk's, I'm hoping one of the new companies will start offering more knives with natural material for handles.

I do like my "MUK in the middle" :D

that's a shame, I've owned one or two, very good knives, always hoped to get my hands on another one, still glad they will still be in the buisness

I've had a few BHK.. sadly none at the moment. Sorry to see them outta the game..

I know both LT and Dan personally. They were very helpful to me getting started as a Dealer. Especially just good thoughtful advice from LT. And allowing me to sell some of their knives! Good Luck Guys! I'm sure I'll be seein' ya around! As soon as I get time, I'll get a picture of my early Frontier First Patch Knife. Acid Etched Blade, Elk Shed Handles, and a big ol' Paddle Type Sheath!

This really sucks... I own three of their knives, the lumberjack, the bush pig and the snapp knapp. I have been nothing but impressed with their quality and customer service.

I had one of LT's earlier knives years before Blind Horse. It was a hunter with gray micarta scales and the blade was bead blasted. I wish I still had that one.

Only time (and production) will tell if the knife community is losing more than a logo. The men will still be making knives, and from what I've seen and read so far one will be proceeding with the line-up along BHK lines (ie, what we've come to know as such) while the other is going in a more custom direction.

I mean, I really like the logo and the products Blind Horse Knives has brought to market to date, and am sorry that the good buzz regarding the people and their company will undoubtedly be impacted (we like to feel good, and this doesn't feel good).

But, I'm also curious to see what remains and can be built on from here, in the guys' respective paths. I wish them both well, along with all the people working with and for them-- including at least one guy with a significant BHK forearm tattoo who looks to have gone with LT, while Dan is the one with the Battle Horse Knives. :)

Knife content:

I'm grateful to have run into the aforementioned Tattoo Guy while in Titusville this past summer, and that I got this sweet little Patch Knife based on that interaction (and the knife's evident quality and great sheath):

Sarah, you are right. It's just a knife company, and I had one of LT's custom pieces. I'm looking forward to their offerings as well as Dans. I am glad to see that it looks like they kept the staff on from the shop, not sure about office stuff.

When you showed me that knife in Titusville I was smitten. This one popped up on the exchange a while back and well... yeah I jumped. :D same sheath too.

That's my one and only BHK. It's a very stout little knife that is also very sharp. Hopefully one or both of the guys will still attend the local gun shows. It was always nice to see a table full of their wares.
