Blindhorse knives..

Great thread Mike!

Great knives from BHK, and great people! LT has been a big help and influence to me over the past couple years. And actually talked me into building my first knife...

thanks for all the great comments once again folks...

Mmm, haven't had that bagel in a while, tell the family I said hi!

Looks like BHK has gone a long way, I remember when it was just the tiger knapp. Both are looking good but I like the scandi.

ha.. right on man.. i hope everything is going well with you... it's been a while... we need to get together soon...:)

We should keep in touch guys!

Whats that on the bagel, cukes and carrots? Does it really taste good? And people think I'm weird for mixing Ginger Ale and orange juice.

haha.. on the bagel is a tri-layered hummus, persian cucumbers and carrots. and yes it tastes really good.. normally we put Tapatio hot sauce on it too, but we forgot it...:)
ginger ale and o.j. sounds great.. i'm going to have to try it...

Man, just got a Liten Bror, but now am dreaming about that Boat Tail!

BTW Mike, how could you forget the Dap-a-Tapa?:D
I got a friend who thinks he never gets mosquito bites or tick bites because of how much hot sauce he eats. He doesn't pack repellents, he just packs hot sauce!

i also just placed a custom order w/ LT and let me tell he is a pleasure to do business with. i told him exactly what i wanted and he was right on track w/ me. which was the bhk bushcrafter but w/ a black micarta handle and in 01 steel then also w/ a patch knife same set up w/ file work on both where the top of the handle is at and a bit higher. and i wanted custom leather sheath that piggybacked them but were also able to be seperated if i only wanted to carry one. and a fire steel on the large sheath. from what it looks like to me from their website it will be the ultimate hunting combination. the bushcrafter for splitting of pelvic bones and all that good stuff and the patch knife for the intricate work.

i am very excited. he was very honest and said this time of year they are extremely busy and it probably wouldn't be till the end of February when i got it. which is not really a bad wait time for a completely custom set up.

i give them a huge 2 thumps up for customer service so and they were a extreme pleasure to deal with

not sure if i am aloud to post this link but i will if its a problem moderators plss delete it or let me know and i will. either way its these knives just set up w/ blk micarta and 01 steel and instead of the jimp its gonna have the file work

I was staying strong until I saw that side-by side photo in post #25. That Boat Tail Scandi looks great. Love that handle to blade ratio. Good scores Mike.

Tapatio is usually a must for us when camping or hiking...
i agree with your friend too man, though we swear by garlic.. we eat a lot of it here(and i'm from Gilroy :D) and rarely get sick or bit by insects, even in the worse conditions...

mtnfolk mike,

Liked everything in your write-up, except for the carrots on the bagel! (Hey, I used to live in Santa Cruz too.)

You did motivate me to buy another BHK, the Scandi will be #4.
