Blond Canadian Belt Knife

This handle material was given to me by a custom gun smith who calls it blond walnut. I'm sure that it is American walnut sapwood and it has a nice curl which I found a little unusual. I stabilized this piece myself using linseed oil and polyurethane in a vacuum bath.

Curly walnut handle on a full tang

Hand sewn leather scabbard

Being an owner of a GL Drew Canadian Belt knife I can truthfully say that it is a great blade! Very very sharp and just a wonderful balance and feel in the hand. I highly recommend GL as a knifemaker and this model........this is a great user.
