Good kitchen knives with delicate edges should not go in a dishwasher to get banged around. As Busse knives do not typically fit that profile, it is more likely that ones risks the knife cutting it's way out! :D
 
Soap & water should be fine...let air dry really good should be all that is neccesary.

I usually just soap and water my rabbit clippers and skinny AD but early in the season if I come across a bad bunny I just drop them into a tuperware with some heavy ppm of bleach...I have put them into the dishwasher as well:D
