Well, I got my orange-orange 760 today and in less than 12 hrs. I have a cut on my thumb, index, & middle fingers!! I haven't been cut in quite some time, and got bit thrice today!! All while flattening bevels, sanding the spine, and squaring the spine at the tip for my ferro rod.
I ran it on 320, 400, skipped to 1000 (wet) and then green compound on leather. It looks nice, but will get the flats & spine mirror polished tomorrow. It is a bit beefier than my Clipper, but still a superlight wood eater. I may post some pics later. I also will most likely be seeking some Normark britches for it, as the stock sheath is, well, a stock 760 sheath. I also have $80 in gift cards to blow at Gander Mountain, we will see what that turns up!!

gotta watch them moras, they'll get ya good. it will serve you well and it's good that you invest yourself in your tools.

the orange 760 is my main fixed blade, which must be the greatest endorsement a knife can receive. i agree, the stock sheath blows. i gave it a blue cord wrap, has a rescue service look to it now. i would like orange kydex, though.

I gave my wife and daughter a 760MG and 760CAMO today (respectively). My wife used hers to slice the dinner ham!!! Not to be bested, I used my new BM Rukus to cut mine ((( :D )))

Hey Magnum.
I like the wrap you did around the sheath! What are those ferrules on the end of the lanyards? Cage clips?

For those who are manually challenged you can buy gloves that are cut resistant - made of fibers like Kevlar or even stainless steel mesh. Available at butcher or restaurent supply !!

The funny part is, I do most of the knife work for my family & friends. Nothing fancy, just basic cleaning, polishing, & sharpening and while I have been bit before, it has never been in such a rapid sequence. Just this week I worked up 6 knives without a hitch, then 3 in a few hours, wow.
Either way, what's a little nick here and there compared to a sweet scandi?? And Magnum22 that is a pretty neat wrap job.

i think it's the natural cycle of knife ownership. we go long periods without any cuts, then cuts come often. i think we get too comfortable, then we're scared straight again.

I love the craftsman handle, I got a Orange 760 for my little brother, a 780 for my dad and got a new 780 myself:D
