Blown away by Spyderco Tenacious.

Well, dang it, if I'm gonna order one someone tell me where they got theirs at online.

You guys are really costing me every week.

I had myself talked out of this knife just two weeks ago.

I bought mine from Roger at knifeworks. He carries all three models.

This knife is a fantastic value, and will easily compare to knives costing twice as much. F&F is great, design is great, and the blade is probably a full 1/8" at the back. It is a sturdy knife that locks up solid.

The Tenacious really is an amazing knife. I don't even really like or trust linerlock knives, but after viewing a few Youtube videos and reading multiple reviews on the knife, I decided to test my prejudices, and bought it.

It's a very solid, nice looking, well built knife. If it came in a mini size, it would find a solid home in my EDC rotation. As it is, it's a little big for my EDC uses, but I use it quite a bit at work.

Again, the Tenacious is freakin sweet. Worth twice its price.

Fathead.. take it from a fellow RAT fan.. You will love a Tenacious. Get one.

I sent Sal an email and basically asked/suggested he have his Seki City maker do a sage G10, VG10 Tenacious. I called it the Tenacious II of course. Sal said that if they do that it would most likely be done in Golden. At least he knows that there is one guy that will pay for a steel upgrade in a Tenacious. If it's done in Golden, I would assume the steel will not be VG10...darn.:(

What's you guys best guess on a Tenacious II steel from Golden?

But I also said I really like his other premium steels. We shall see.

The Tenacious has to be one of the best values out there. I, too was impressed with the quality of this inexpensive knife. I ordered a couple when they came out as part of a larger order. I was more impressed with the "add on" than the rest of the order.

I bought my Tenacious because money was low, and I wanted a new Spydie.

Its an awesome knife and it blew me away. Fit & Finish is great and quite frankly I have a hard time believing it was under $30. Hell, I have a hard time believing it was under $75.

I would pay good money for one made in Golden.

I'd say the steel from Golden would probably be s30v.

I would take one in s30v or s90v with CF handles. Aternative to a Para.

but then it wouldn't be the 28$ super knife that we know it is

True. But the original Native had a S30V blade, FRN handles, and retailed for $55. It is an exceptional knife at that value.

Of course, then they tease us with a CF/VG-10 4 way clip Native that MSRP's for $280.

I've always had a reluctance to buy knives made in Taiwan or China, mainly because I thought the quality was lacking. Well things have changed. Apparently those countries have improved their manufacturing capabilities.
With the trend we've seen over the past few years away from US production, I expect that to continue.
Interestingly, I've recently discovered that Kershaw makes some US-made, quality knives for short money. I'm going to pick up a Storm II soon.
I bought a Spyderco Catbyrd a little while ago. It's pretty nice. Very solid. Could be more smooth. And it's difficult to disengage the lock bar.
Anyway, I'm warming up to knives made in Taiwan and China.

I think there are still a lot of less adequate knife manufactures in china, but there are a few good ones (like the ones that Spydie and BM use). Unfortunatley the numerous bad ones have spoiled it for the few good ones.
