Before I got injured at work I did carry my large carbon fiber Sebenza 21. I'm an auto technician by mistake. I actually in computer hardware and software repair but since no jobs were turning up I decided to apply as an oil "technician" at a local garage to make money in the bean time since I enjoy working with my hands and my second hobby besides knife collecting is... tool collecting! And photography, but that's for a different day. Anyways, the job was more change oil and clean up while the other techs worked on vehicles (I didn't realize it at the time but it was a place where if you started in a low position they kept you there). I carried the Sebenza and used it in everything from cutting rags to cutting radiator hose (at the second shop I worked in I started as a tech, my first day on the job I was doing a water pump and wished I had my Sebenza on me to help clean up the RTV from the old one) and everything in-between. I didn't carry a knife much working as the head bicycle technician at a local shop, not much to cut. The only other job I carry a knife on is computer repair, usually a Victorinox SwissChamp or a Leatherman Charge TTI. They're users and I've found no reason to baby mine. After the first scratch and then a bent clip three times, I the caution to the wind and used it. The only gripe I have is I wish they put a V grind and not a partial convex edge for ease of sharpening.
