The scales on this one are my blue canvas duck Jcarta. This is one of my most popular utility knives. Does a great job on any game from squirrel to large deer that I know of, and should handle some of the larger stuff. The sharp point makes it nice to use around the head/neck/shoulder area. Has a LOT of distal taper, so it slices right well. Good knife in the bush also.
Specs:
Blade: Flatground 1/8" 154CM; cryo by D'Holder. Has a satin finish (The whole knife in fact is finished to 320 grit), Distal taper, convex edge.
The blade is 3 3/4" (tip to plunge) X 1 1/4" wide.
Handle: Blue duck Jcarta with 3/16" copper mosaic pins and a copper lanyard hole liner. Has red liners. I left the handle thick enough to provide good control when doing various utility tasks with her.
OAL: 7 3/4"
Weight: 4 oz (maybe)
Balance point: 1/4 inch behind the first mosaic.
Sheath: 8/9 oz bark tanned leather. Wetformed and saddle stitched with blade welt. It's waterproofed with Resolene.
Price: $175.00 USD. Includes 3 day priority shipping in CONUS. Paypal, check(has to clear) and MO acceptable. My Paypal/e-mail address is joelcb@pennswoods.net. Thanks for looking.......Sold

Very nice craftsmanship of knife and sheath, looks spectacular

I would like to see more of your knives. Maybe something bigger would be great.

Not sure what you meant by bigger...99% of my knives are between 3 1/2 and 4 1/2 inches in blade length. The other 1% go between 4 1/2 and a bit over 5 inches.

Most of the time I would buy 4" and over blade sizes. Can you post any previously made pictures of your bigger knives in the maker gallery section for us to see what they look like? Thanks and Merry Christmas

Really nice! I love the look of spacer material between tang and scales. One thing though, I'd be a little worried about nicking fingers when using a knife like this. Other than that, great fit and finish, good shape, good knife.

Spear: I'm not sure that suddenly flooding the gallery with my knives would look good; however, if you e-mail me at my contact listed with the knife I can send you all the photo's you'd care to look at, either as links or I can "invite" you over to the site I keep my pics at, and you can browse through that mess.

Ndallyn..the handle design offers more than adequate finger protection for normal use. I don't use large guards, they get in the way, especially in hunter/utility knives where the cutting motion is just that, i.e. it's not a stabbing/combat blade.

I just recently picked up one of Joel's knives & that hasn't been a problem at all. Like he said, use it like it's intended & you'll be fine. He does very nice work. I like this one alot!
