But seriously, what we have here are 6 pairs of mammoth ivory scales that I acquired in the past from two of the kings of fossil ivory. Sets 1-5 were previously selected by Don Hanson III, the undisputed king of fossil ivory hoarders. Don prefers very thin ivory for his very sleek folders and these were a bit too thick, so he sold them. They are the blue and green ones. They are all very nice as you would expect if you have ever watched Mr. Hanson cleaning out all of the ivory dealers on Thurday setup day at Blade. The larger scales of brown mammoth were bought about 2 years ago from Charles Turnage, who always has nice stuff.
