Was just gonna add this to one of the other threads but figured it deserves a thread of it's own and didn't want it to get lost.

I try not to muddy up the site with a bunch of threads but it sure don't appear so huh?

Anyhow here's what I got so far on blues 2nd generation Bhakta. This one was one of the nicest 2nd generation bowies I've laid eye's on. Seriously NICE! My first thought was to try and talk him out of it but that subsided and I got over it.
Haven't sent it yet so still some risk involved but I'll put forth effort to give it back.

The pattern in the middle according to blue is some sort of Buddhist symbol popular in Mongolia. The challenge was shrinking the picture of it down to something that would fit on the handle. I kept trying to make bands rather than just lines like the picture. Once I figured that part out it wasn't difficult and I of course did it a couple times on a scrap piece before I screwed up the knife.

No oil on the handles yet, need to make a couple more passes. I took a wood burner to the symbol to kind of make it stand out a bit, hoping it looks fine and dandy when I get oil on everything.

Hopefully get some time with it this afternoon although it don't look like rain, so I might be on the wood pile.

Guruguru, did you ever get # 2, I plumb forgot about that one.

love the design in the center, a great piece that bawanna just made greater!

Good personalization. You pulled that off despite the limited flat area. Another one for the portfolio.

Just when you thought nothing else could be done on such a limited piece of real estate! Excellent and classy!! The woodburning is a great idea. I bet it will stand out even better once oiled down. Great job again:thumbup:

Woohoo! It came out even better than I imagined. So looking forward to seeing it in the flesh.

Wow, That is great looking! I love the way the Eternal Knot came out, I bet when you finish it up it is going to be incredible. Blue, that is going to be a very Auspicious piece ;)

That thing is lookin' good, Mr. B. Really nice color in the wood to begin with and nicely spaced pins, an excellent candidate for a Bawanna makeover. The design came out great!

Bahkta nailed it on this one for sure. Everything was done right on this one. I sure hope he makes a few of the first version ones again some day. I want a couple to dress up myself in original configuration.

I just polished the metal up a little bit. Blue spank yourself for neglect first chance you get. It looked worse than it was, it polished up real nice pretty easy, maybe not a major spanking, just a medium would do.

I just threw some linseed oil on it and it really popped. The wood burned endless whatever Shavru called it really looks good.

I'll try to take a couple more pics after I play with my granddaughter a bit and throw some groceries down my neck.

Didn't see it last week. I'll make sure to get the mailbox key from the admin and check myself tomorrow.

Well I think I'm done. I always like to wait a day or two to pass judgment to avoid the good enough syndrome you get when your tired and feel like you've played enough. But I think it's good, I like it and I'm not ashamed so we're ok for now.

Here's some pics after oil and a little hand polishing on the blade.
