Blue steel hunting knife

hello guys, this is a nice knife just got it sharpened have had it for a while now. It comes with a brown/black sheath.

Does it have anything on the blade? Makers mark?
How big is this sucker.

it says "Blue Steel" on the bottom of the blade (above the handle) the sheath is "ELK" and it also says "974-13-L" on the opposite side of the bluse steel. I dont know much about this knife i was told it was German so i dont think i could tell u what kind of handle it is, nor the blade. Its 8 and a half inches so about 22cm
