Blued blades for food prep?

Ok, so that means to blue something and still cut food with it I need to dedicate a pan to blueing knives when I finally get around to it?

A pan? I just paint it on with a cheap paintbrush and have some newspaper under for the excess.

Remind me to try that, the brush doesent leave marks or anything but the cotton balls seem like they would give a much more even finnish.

Hot bluing is a different industrial-type process. It's not just cold blue heated up.

You'd figure that a guy who's handle is "oXide" would know this stuff. Maybe you should stop eating stuff out of blueing pans.
