I want to do some minor mods and wanted to know how to find and what to call a spec sheet and diagram of all the parts. Any ideas? I would love to have something which labels each part and gives sizes etc. For example, I want to replace torx screws and thumb studs with aftermarket dress up parts but dint know how to measure length or diameter.
Excuse me for posting this again since I think I did so recently but too vague in what I was trying to do before this post.

You might search on 'engineering drawing' or 'technical drawing'. I've occasionally looked for them, for more common production knives. But, I don't think they're commonly available to the public, unless voluntarily released by manufacturers. I'd assume they might be treated as proprietary information, in some cases. I've seldom found such detailed drawings, at least with all of the size & parts information included.

You might also check for patent or trademark info on particular models (Google Patents might be a place to start). Sometimes, if you can find the patent docs for a particular item, drawings are sometimes included with it. Even then, the 'original' drawings included with a patent application might not be fully accurate or representative of the finished product, especially if the 'original' was just a prototype, or designed a long time ago (won't likely see the most current models, revisions or re-designs).

And it never hurts to ask the manufacturer. If such drawings are available to the public at all, I'm sure you'd find out quickly.

Thanks for the insights on this. I will check out more keywords and ask the manufacturers too.
