Recommendation? Bluetooth headphones

I tried using Bluetooth bud headphones and didn’t like them. It’s probably because of me being a boomer, but still. Firstly, it interfered with the Wi-Fi network in my phone, and I couldn’t use Wi-Fi and Bluetooth simultaneously, which was a huge No No.
Secondly, I don’t like the great possibility of losing one of them while working/running, which is really high. I also don’t like that they work for a couple of hours, and that’s it. I like wired headphones more because they don’t have latency or battery, and the sound quality is much better. Just compare different options on productz.com, and you will see that wired earphones for $50 would be way better than wireless ones for the same price.

ISOtunes. ISO rated hearing protection, with active noise cancelling and Bluetooth capabilities. The ones I have also have an "awareness" function so you can hear what's going on around you, but still blocks out loud and/or high frequency noise

I am using Mifo 5 pro gen 2 . Pretty happy with them. They are inexpensive and comfortable. As an extra bonus their case can be used to charge your phone in a pinch.

I use airpod pros under my Versaflo Peltor earmuffs. Works awesomely.

Sometimes I’ll use them without the earmuffs when I’m doing things that are just moderately loud. The active noise cancelling works amazingly well.

I had the 3M Worktunes and they worked great for a bit, but then began eating batteries. I was having to replace the batteries every day. They are junk now. I've gone to in the ear, which I don't care for as far as comfort, but they do a good job of protecting my hearing, or what's left of it.

Do you need to talk, too ? Say when you receive a call while listening to music ? I’ve been using “Poly Voyager Focus UC” throughout the pandemic (since Apr 2020) for everything, meetings, music, phone calls, etc.”. Hold the charge for more than a day, reasonably compact, noise canceling, and not crazy expensive. They connect to both phone and laptop in parallel, and you can fold the mic out of the way.

I just checked those out, they look perfect. Why do they have a little USB Plug dongle? Are they rechargable or do they need batteries? Thanks for the recommendation.

The dongle is a bluetooth adapter for older computers that don’t have bluetooth, I don't use it.

They are rechargeable, come with a charging station that they rest on when not in use.

Roland.

Hello all. Thanks for brining up this thread, I've been thinking about upgrading my hearing protection. Question for those in the know: what's the practical difference between 24 db NRR and 25 db NRR? Thanks.

Very little, but more is always better when it comes to noise reduction.

If both have all the features you want, I'd probably save the money...

I've got an old pair of Bose that i use just for the shop...wish they were the noise cancelling ones, but i'll get those when this pair kicks the bucket!
