One of my favorite knives to date, up for sale to help pay some of my wifes medical bills since her gallbladder surgery that are looming. Since I just received an AEB-L paring knife w/ asian satinwood handle from bluntcut it definitely helps to ease the sting of letting this go a bit :)... my loss is your gain as the saying goes.

I have used this knife to peel/slice fruit in the kitchen mostly, a few cooked meats were sliced also. It works great and I've not needed to sharpen it at all since receiving it. Basically the knife still looks brand new and if I had not mentioned it you couldn't tell it's seen any use. The blade was rinsed and dried promptly after each use, so no corrosion to speak of.

This knife is a bit intersting in that it was sold as just the blade (no handle or logo) by Luong (bluncut here at BF), NJBillK then did a really nice job putting a beautiful pinned desert ironwood handle on it for me along with the beautiful leather belt pouch sheath I requested. This setup really is a sight to behold, the pictures do not do any justice... ironically I didn't ask for anything fancy looking as I am not one for flash, but Bill surprised me with this beauty when it showed up. The handle slabs are also bookmatched, meaning they were split from the same chunk of wood and line up when you look at it.

Anybody who is not familiar with Luong's work should have a look at what he is doing with the metallurgy/design of his knives, he wrings performance out of common steels that is simply impossible to believe without seeing it in person/video. If you haven't had the opportunity to use his knives or seen them in real use... here's one of his other CPM 10V knives with the same heat treat protocol being demoed. This level of performance is absolutely ridiculous and stunning to say the least...
