I would venture to guess this is why it was a blem.

It was cosmetic. It was marked a 1670TBLK when it was a 1670BLK. That was the blem.

But I was batoning wood with the knife... Maybe that's why it got blade play. It's just not my type of knife, it makes a good beater though.
