It does look good and the other S110v's have been great. The longer cutting edge on the Military will shine with these steels. This has been a good last few Months for the Spyderco enthusiast.

ok so between this one and the kw exclusive cts 204p which one should be prferred?

I would rather sharpen CTS-204P, so for me it's CTS-204P. And it's an exclusive & Green. I tend to form a lot of my views based on sharpening. As far as usage, I don't know if i could tell the difference between them with usage.

Have the KW CTS 204P and ordered the S110V yesterday with shipping confirmation for today.

Both KW and GP are out of stock on the new issue Military S110V, initial inventory sold quickly.

Really like the PM2 in S110V, the additional blade length on the Military will be interesting to compare.
With DMT plates and diamond on leather strops, the S110V is very easy to sharpen.

Regards,
FK

Mine shipped out today.

I'd be curious to hear about your take on this Military S110V vs. the Military 204P from KnifeWorks (KW). The KW one was on sale for $179.95 and I'm fairly sure it'll be again although it's at $199.95 now. The S110V has a MAP/street price of $173.97. So, other than the color on the G-10 it comes down to the steel.

Picked mine up today.

This is a hard knife to photograph. My eyes definitely see purple, but the camera sees blue. The lanyard matches the scales much more than the photos indicate. Going to take a better photographer than me to give you a good impression of the color.

Not getting the 204P Military.

Although I can say there is a large difference in performance between S110V and 204P in favor of S110V.

So the choice is up to you.

I made my choice. ;)

Performance in edge maintenance of S110V over 204P? No advantage of 204P over S110V in any category of performance?

I find the M390/204P/20CV steels just the right balance of toughness and wear resistance. Overall, it's a compromise.

None that I have noticed over the years.

Maybe you meant "can't" or "isn't"?

If not, can you educate me on the large performance differences?

45Gun I noticed that you took the clip off of 1 of your other millies and put it on your new 110. I wish Spyderco would use black clip on a lot

more of their knives....especially millies. Black looks soo much better than the shiny clip. The shiny clip really stands out a lot, not a good thing IMO.

I've flame treated the clips on 3 of my 4 millies. The s30v is black. The flame treated, gas stove flame, clips get better and better every time I treat 1.

Mine came as you see it except for the purple lanyard. Just happened to have that laying in the parts bin.

Thanks for the info on the color of the clip on the 110 millie. I still think black looks much better than ' a bright shiny clip' on a millie. Shiny

clips really stand out on most fabric colors. That's why I'd rather have black or a darker color.
