BM 275-Adamas, What would you change?

I just ordered mine last night. I wouldn't mind a different blade steel, but I'm cool with D2.

same here, the large carbides bug the hell out of the OCD sharpness freak inside of me. I recently picked a CPM D2 composite leek, and you can really tell the difference.

i love mine !
a satin blade would make it even better , but that's allready a top knife !
the handle is thick of course, but it makes it so comfortable ...
d2 is a great steel for hard use, one of my favorite steel ...

saw this on another forum:

looks like a proto

get rid of the holes
get rid of the fuller
get rid of the black coating
grind it like a knife and not a splitting wedge
use a different steel

meh, I preordered a satin Contego

I don't buy any folders with a coated blade. Other than that I think I would like it, but have not held one.
I do have a couple of older BM's with a coated blade, but haven't bought a folder with a coated blade in the past ten years.

I used to be that way too but I was missing too many nice knives - most of mine are still uncoated and I always buy those when available but some just aren't and I wanted to experience some well regarded, but coated knives so I fudged a little bit . . .

I saw that picture a week ago I guess, and it wasn't till now that I recognized on the Adamas, that the liners are not drilled. And I still think that the Contego grips are dark brown.:)

Mine came yesterday, I've been packing (lugging) it around for 2 days. When I fist saw the pictures of it I thought it looked gaudy but it's grown on me, I like the looks. It's much better looking up close and personal and the width isn't a problem, the scales are nicely tapered at the ends, handle is a great shape.

The only thing I would change would be to have a courser texture on the G-10. ...that and I'm not thrilled with D2 but I'll give it another shot, still would rather have s30v.
