BM 42, who has them?

Looking for the elusive BM42 Where can I find one?

We have now received reports of people receiving unnumbered BM42s. This means that there are 200 pre-production and 500 first-production, 700 pieces total, plus now regular production. So, that means that there are over 700 in circulation. Benchmade has been filling orders from their "brick and mortar" dealers before the discount mail order and .com dealers. Benchmade is backordered about 3000 pieces last I heard, which is one of the biggest backorders they've ever had, in the league as the first Axis lock release. The difference here is that BM expected the Axis lock to be in huge demand and to remain in huge demand, so they tooled up accordingly. BM did not expect quite the reception that the 42 has had and they understand that this is a bit of a specialty and that demand quite this huge is not likely to continue long-term. So, they have not tooled up quite the same production capacity.

So, hang on, their coming. Believe me, the wait is worth it.
