42BLK- a 42 with black handles
BM43- a bowie bladed 42
BM47- a tanto bladed 42

$119 each

anyone else ever heard of them?? im about to order me a black handled 42

Out of curiousity, where did you find the BM43s for sale? Are they actually shipping yet, or just taking pre-orders? Thanks for any info...

Mike

Welcome to the 'swingingest' forum on the 'net! The 42 you're referring to is a new model that has powder coated handles. It, along with it's 43 and 47 counterparts, is the newest/neatest 'stuff' from Benchmade.............:D

Benchmade support team announced that they have started to ship the new ones on Friday (6/29?). I don't think anybody has any in stock yet.

Who's handled the powder coated ones (people who went to the blade show...)? How would you describe it... fine grit sand paper, coarse sand paper, or is the "powder" media not as dense as sandpaper, BT2 coating... et cetera?

I actually liked it, and I'm not one for coatings. Would not compare it to sand paper at all, it doesn't have that kind of bite. Its more like a grainy powder coating. kinda thick. I'll still be buying all ti handles myself, but it does add a degree of grip whils still allowing manipulation and not catching in the hand. Well done.

I just want to get hold of one of those Bowies. Where did you see this QuickSilver?
