I believe that in theory, the tip of a 47 (geometric tanto) could be stronger than the 42 (weehawk), which should, in turn, be slightly stronger than the tip of the 43 (bowie).
The 47 will be slightly slower than the 42, which will be slightly slower than the 43, due to weight & weight distribution. They're all FAST.
I have a 42 and a 47, I'm saving up for a 43 . The 47 has a meatier blade and should prove to be a little stronger than the 42 even though its only 440ss, the 47 is somewhat slower than the 42. but the action is all in the hand of the user, lately, my 47 has been my EDC.
i have to go against the theory of speed.. comparing a geo tanto 47 to a weehawk 42 - the 47 is more topheavy than the 42, so if I am still sober, the momentum woudl make the 47 move faster or perceivably faster.
ie. have a piece of string and twirl it around then take the same string and tie a weight on the end now swing it around.
as far as tip strength geometry is one thing but steel is important too.. theory aside I havent broken any of the two to do real world comparisons.
any of it is insignificant though. the choice for me is easy cause I hate folding tantoes
