those knives are a gem in the hand.. i missed my chance on one though.. since we are on the subject of the 630, anyone know any tricks to "darken" or "charcoal" the handle like the original

I can still dream :D :rolleyes:
 
Just an educated quess from my experience, carefully take the knife apart and re blast the handle slabs, but you would have to come up with a method of covering the colored ano dots to keep them. Of course,there are a lot of guys around here with ano experience that I'm sure would like to play around with a volunteer 630. You could also polish the handle slabs by hand and keep the dots. The natural gray color of the titanium would look really nice on the 630.
 
true. maybe even cut little circles out of scotch tape and bead blast em'. Don't know that, once i get one, i would be able to send it away... :D
