I just got one of these in a trade (thanks Sarcoblaster), and I wanted to express my satisfaction. This is one well made knife. I have owned/own some Benchmades in my short knife using days, and this is one of the best. Excellent ergonomics, sharp as hell, beautiful action, quality materials. I am sold.
I think I read recently someone suggesting a mini grip made like the 705 (154cm, g10 or CF)would be perfection and i have to agree. Just a thought. Peace all, Josh

That 705 was the sharpest knife I've ever had. I was amazed at the edge it took after I gave it a few passes on my sharpener. I'll probably have to get another one of the 705's in plain edge. Wasn't too fond of the serrations since the blade was so short and there wasn't enough plain edge, IMO. Other than that, the 705 excellent.

I'm not sure if you knew this or not, but you can send a Benchmade knife back to Benchmade and they will do a blade swap. I seem to recall seeing the cost for such a switch being $20-$30.

Great knife. My favorite ~3" bladed production knife. In this size range I also own a small Sebenza, but honestly I prefer the blade shape of the 705 for edc use.

Good Evening All-

Yep, great lock-up in a small, sheeple-friendly package. This will be a very popular model for people "into" knives who are prevented from using larger blades in politically-correct corporate or educational environments.

My plain-edge 705 splits EDC duty with an older comboedge Mini-AFCK. If you are accustomed to opening holes, use caution your first few times with the 705's opening stud because your finger can potentially slide onto the blade.

It came razor-sharp from the factory and the AXIS lock is very slick. I stropped the blade, put some Mil-Tech oil on the pivot, double-checked the TORX fixtures, and the knife was good to go.

This knife appealed to me so much that I purchased two half-serrated versions to give to two friends just getting into collecting. The design is a winner and packs lots of utility.

Regards,
