So the title is pretty self explanatory, what do you guys prefer, the benchmade 765 mini monolock or spyderco slyz bowie, and why? Thanks

That's a really tough one. I just picked up the 765 a few weeks ago, and it has rapidly grown on me. It might be the smoothest, most elegant Benchmade I own. BUT...the Slysz Bowie is still in my top 5 favorite knives ever. Personally, I like the extra size of the Spyderco blade and handle. I love the shine of the blade, and I'm a huge fan of deep carry clips. Still though, they are two very, very nice knives.

I have the 761 and would agree with SH.......smoothest knife I have. Also it is a monstrous slicer!!
Never touched that Spydie, but I don't think I e heard a bad word about it.
I'd go with the one that catches your eye......and I wouldn't sweat the decision because you'll have both soon enough!!
Good luck and let us know which you go with!
Joe

I have the Slysz and figure it could take down a forest. I don't have any experience with the BM model.

Will be watching this intently as I'm having the same debate. Personally the slyzs is more eye catching at first glance, but I think I'll like the bm more longer term.

I have problems with pocket clips catching on crap and pulling away from the handle and I think the sculpted titanium clip will help fix that, it looks thick.

Can't go wrong with either one. IMO, these are some of the best each company offers.

I have the 761.It is very smooth. I don t have the Slyz, but knowing Spyderco s as I do, it may be the stronger knife. The 761 does have better steel.

Hey slaughterhause, if it ain't too much to ask, could you get me some size comparison pics of them together, and just curious, what are the other 4 knives?

I'll bring back a dead thread instead of starting a new one on the exact same topic...

I've got both of these knives on the way over the next few days. Wanted a new TI framelock in the 3-3.5" blade range, something a little more refined and elegant, so I found a 765 for a good price, then happened to grab a Slysz at a similarly good price today.

I'm probably only going to keep 1, so anybody have any more feedback on comparing these?
