BM 940, 943, 710 Comparison Pic?

The 940 and 943 share the same handle design, it is only the colour that is different. I modified the blade of my 940 to remove the pronounced hump on the spine, but you should get an idea of the size comparison from these:

No, sorry, I forgot to mention; I swapped the modified blade from my 940 into the handle from my 943, which is black with a blue back spacer.

The 940 has a green handle with purple back spacer.

Good to know.

I've been wanting to do the exact same thing.

Will BM allow the purchase of the 940 reverse tanto blade if I call their CS?

Just some 940 Pics if anyone is interested

The ones I've owned (which is quite a few) weren't harder to strip down than the average non-Axis knife. However, buying a new blade will require you to send the knife in to Benchmade for them to switch it out. On the possitive side, they should be willing to send your original blade back at you request.
-Also, they say that disassembling the knife voids the warrantee, which may be technically true, but as long as you don't loose parts or break something, you'll be okay.

Only other company I've bought a new blade from was Emerson and they chaged about $80 (IIFC) and would not send the old blade back. -Still, I was happy with a new blade at that price considering the knife was a CQC-12. At $25, the Benchmade blades are a steal and may allow you more willingness to do what you've gotta do with the knife without being overly worried about the blade.
