Wich one do you guys like as a survival/beater in the woods. Just a knife to carry on long hikes, and to use while camping and/or against animal attacks 4 legged and 2.
 
Benchmade, they give you way more knife for the money on top of being made in the U.S. (most of them).
 
Go with the Benchmade. They have a new version of the CSK coming out this year called the CSK II.

Thanks for the info. I didn't know Benchmade discontinued the 156 CSK. That's too bad. The new 158 CSK II isn't too bad. But it's 1095 steel vs D2 & has a leather sheath vs the I's nylone sheath. Not necessarily worst or better, just different, unless you really like D2.
 
I think the D2 just didn't sell well as a hard use material. I like D2, but have shied away from it in anything bigger than a 4 inch folder. The CSK is still available all over the place if you really want it in D2. Check the bay or a multitude of knife sites.
