You and Sal both brought up very interesting viewpoints. Sal and I are on the AKTI board and it seems that an AKTI meeting would be beneficial. I would support an Industry informational meeting with a pre-planned agenda to provide adequate meeting time for useful discussion on a few important topics. We must remember that time is of the essence and for any meeting to be effective, we must agree on an agenda that will allow for the presentation of ideas and thoughful discussion based on thorough preparation. I know for a fact that I am very capable of rambling on about this and that and an agenda with goals and objectives would help to focus our efforts.

Sounds like a plan.

Now what do we do from here?

A meeting with the dealers would be a huge hit at the show as they are very thristy for knowledge that would actually help them grow their business. It would also be a huge help to the Manufacturer/Dealer relationship. A smaller meeting with distributors would also be benificial although much of the same topics covered in the dealer meeting would help them as well. I am all ears and ready to spread the word when we have a plan and agenda.
