BM Gravitator recommendation - 425 or 426?

I've found some old Benchmade stock of the Snody-designed 'Gravitator' model. It looks - and feels - interesting in the hand. The Ti frame lock seems quite stout and secure. I am at a quandry as to the two styles - the 425 with it's Wharncliff style straight blade, a la my BRK&T 'T.U.S.K.' fb and Kershaw 1820 'Needs Work' folder, which have been quite useful, or the 426 with it's more traditional modified drop point. Any user responses on either - or both - styles would be appreciated. They are priced the same - and one might be affordable, probably not both. Thanks!

I've got the 426...only liner lock I now own ... machined G10... Ti liners

I' ve drifted away from wharncliffe blades...tend to use tip only and end up having to sharpen whole blade to keep edge nice and straight.

Snody 426 is only BM I now own and it is a keeper.

I prefer the 425. I love wharnecliffe shape and the 425 is one of the production greats for this blade design.

Personally, I'd get the 425. I like Wharncliffes & they seem to be more valuable, but it also depends on whether you like Wharncliffes or the Spear point. I have to admit Snody's Spear-points are neat, too.

As for using it. I haven't used my BM 425, but I have carried/used my Yojimbo (Waved, too) & I like it. The BM is a little smaller with a longer blade, & classier, IMHO. Plus, it's technically a Ti frame-lock as the scales are more overlays.

I'd definitely get one of them, though.

I have the 425 and I looove it. It's more of a collector knife now cause it isnt in production but i'm almost postive it would be a great user knife. Lockup is rock solid.
