BM griptilian?

I have one as an EDC right now... And i had one that was used for about a year... Because of its light weight i think that it makes it tougher than a 14200 i used for about 3 months... Don't know why...
I would highly advise getting one....
The handle is somewhat rounded... giving a full handle feel like a fixed blade... But carries rather discrete...

OH yeah... probably the most comfortable handle shape ever... If you dont mind the Noryl GTX "zytel" molded plastic handle..

It's a great knife for EDC, lightweight and very pocket friendly.

Try one...or 12! :D

I have edc'd one for the last year. It is the only knife I havent gotten tired of carrying after a couple months. The handle isnt really all that thick and you dont even notice it in your pocket. Definately a good buy.

Bought one about a year ago and I haven't been able to put it down since. Great knife, but isn't so expensive that I'm afraid to carry it as EDC or let my friends use it.

I carry it as a secondary. Great knife.

I carry a mini Griptilian model # 555HG It is perfect and you don't even know it is in your pocket!!!

The mini-grip has always gotten great reviews here but I put off buying one because it was so plain-jane looking in the photos and had plastic scales. But after seeing one in BPS, I realized that it was much nicer looking in person and despite the plastic, it felt rock solid in the hand. Not to mention that the axis lock is tailor made for anyone who likes to fidget with knives while at their desk or watching TV. Anyhow, I am now the proud owner of two of them which is the first time I've owned more than one of anything since the Buck 110.

Oh, and to answer your question, it rides nicely in the pocket as others have already stated.

Best knife ever!!! Even the guy on the phone at Cabela's said it's probably their best pocket knife and for a good price too. I'm going up to the one near Austin,Tx for spring break to get an Olive Drab handled D2 Griptilian. Looking forward to going and I have my heart set on that one. I'm sure I could get it cheaper and faster online, but I want to go and pick up my "baby." :D

Griptilians are a great value. If you're thinking about getting one, that's a sign that you should.

I own one of the full-sized models, the 551. IMO, it's too large for comfortable pocket carry and it should be sold with a sheath. Not heavy at all, but very bulky.

I do think it's a great knife though, one of the best given the price, style, and features. You won't be sorry if you buy one, regardless of whether or not you choose to EDC / pocket carry it.

Great knife, but isn't so expensive that I'm afraid to carry it as EDC or let my friends use it.
Well, there are less expensive knives for sure, and many of them are perfectly functional (my own EDC choices cost $8 and $20). But for $63 (or $57 for the Mini), it's hard to claim that the Griptilian is priced too high considering the materials and quality.

I have 4 grips, a 551 in 440C, a 550HG in 154CM, a 556 in 154CM, and a 555HG in 154CM. They are incredible for the money, and are great edc knives.

I have one in my pocket right now... great knife not to bulky to carry. Plus the lock is lots of fun to play with

You may find that the Mini Grip is the better EDC knife. Just depends upon what you have been carrying. Either the full size or the mini are a very good buy. They aren't pretty but they do what a knife is supposed to do.

Some of you guys make these things sound like they are the biggest knives known to man. "Too bulky,", give me a break:rolleyes:. These things weight 3.25 oz and have a 3.45" blade, what more to you want? The full size grips are awsome and are probably the smallest size knife that I would ever carry. Compared with all of my other knives, the griptilians weight next to nothing and are a good medium size handle. The only other knife that I carry that weighs near the same amount are my spyderco enduras and the kershaw blur. The Griptilians are the best knives for the money, and they aren't that bulky. We're all adults here, 3.25 oz isn't going to kill our backs ;).

I have both the regular and mini-Grip. I'm slim with small hands so I find the mini to be best for EDC pocket carry. For heavier work, the regular Grip is up to just about anything. Great knives, comfortable handles, and grippy. Get at least one.

I love mine. Its not bulky at all and fits just right in my pocket. I would highly recommend it.
