That thing is hard to photograph, isn't it. I had to take several breaks just to regain my sanity the first time I tried.

Very nice. You got some good grain in that one.

Take very good care of it. It's very special.
 
Chuck, you are right this thing is hard to photo. I tried hundreds of times with my digital camera but still could not get a single photo that shows the whole knife AND the logo on the blade AND the grind line of the knife. :confused:

Also Chuck how's the mirror polish on yours? There are few areas on the blade that are not exactly "mirror polished". They look more like satin finish on those areas.

The 49SPL comes with a really nice wood display box with the BM butterfly logo engraved on top. Here is a picture...

Hi Tony, yes I think the 49-01 will be easier to photo. I photographed quite a few knives with mirror polish blades but none of them reflects light from any angle like this kris blade. I'll take some photo on film this weekend for the 49SPL and see if I can get better result.

Is BM still scheduled to ship 49-01 on 10/31?

Dang, that box is gorgeous! I'd buy it just for the display box. Too bad the box does not match the insert.:rolleyes:

Professor, how's the mirror polish on your blade?

BTW, this knife is SHARP. It is at least as sharp as my custom Brend, if not sharper.

It is 13 of 25 you can see the difference between the 1 and the 2 there in the picture. Looks like a nice script writing.
