BM49SPL Pix...

Yes it is #13. Maybe I can get a more clear picture during the weekend. I took the picture under low light without using a tripod. :D

Jeez!! You scored 2 of 'em!! I wonder how many 49-01's you are getting!!  Could you post a pic with a 42 inbetween the 2 49s (all of them open)?? :D
When you get all of your 49s could you email me a pic of all of them together? :D

What is that box made of anyway...really pretty!! I'm sure someone mentioned it in an earlier thread at some point, but I'm lazy... ...also very nice of you to supply all the pictures Jeff, yeah those must be really tough to photograph.

Sorry I don't know what kind of wood they use for the box. I'm no expoert in wood and I cannot even tell the differences between the most common ones. :(

Cameron, I'll take a picture of the 49 w/ 42 and an old PC kris later today or tomorrow and post the picture here.

Here is a picture of 3 49SPL. And no, I don't own all 3. :D

:eek::eek: Note: I had to edit to correct spelling after the tears welled up in my eyes and I couldn't see to type anymore!!! Tears of joy at the sight of such beauty, I might add........

Tony, the owner have not paid me yet (I paid first) so I guess he doesn't worry about that. :) Actually he is a realy good friend of mine (we were highschool classmates) and he will pick it up later today. I still have few more hours with his 49SPL. :D

i want #13 :p it's my lucky number :)

damn and I once believed I had some minimal charismatic 'pull' in BM.. this takes the cake :p

BM considers it more of a "high polish" than a mirror polish. That's straight from the BMST.

I asked when looking at mine closely, there appeared to be a "polishing fog" near the spine that would not wipe away with Tuf Cloth. I was told that most of them came out that way.

I'm not too hurt by it though ;). I love how a sqeeze of the handles shoots the latch to the "neutral" position, and the spring keeps it there firmly. Great, great knife.

Professor.

Geez Professor-
I love how a sqeeze of the handles shoots the latch........
 Keep talking like that and I won't even have to "squeeze the handle" to get it to shoot, er, ah, I mean to deploy...:o Ah hell, if I don't get mine in hand soon (the knife I mean ;)) I might not make it to the weekend........:(.....JUST KIDDIN', I got my confirmation and tracking number for a Wednesday delivery just this afternoon!!!!!!!!!:D

Professor, I can see BM's point on high polish vs mirror polish. Don't get me wrong, 49SPL is still my favorite balisong eventhough it is not "mirror polished" on certain areas of the blade. I just wish they'd make it mirror polish all the way and it will be perfect. :)

Talking about the spring loaded latch, it is so cool!!! I hope BM would put it on every single production knife. A spring-loaded latch BM 42 will be a perfect EDC for me. Maybe I'll talk to Mer see if he can put one in his handles!!

I want my 49-01!!!!!

Very beautiful pictures, and of course exquisite knives...thanks for all the shots!

Looking for # 23?? Its mine -- and yes, Its sharp in both definitions! BM / Vance did a great job on this knife.
