BM551 or 530?

It's G10, a fairly tough and useful, yet light weight material. Here's Benchmade's info on it:

FWIW, the scales on my mini grip feel much, much cheaper than the scales on my 530. I'd like to find some replacements...

The Benchmade 2008 Catalog says this about the 530's handle:

I don't think it's G10. I'm pretty sure its FRN same as the griptilian.

Oh crap, I was thinking of the 930. That's the knife I have, though I did consider the 530. My bad.

My vote goes to the 551.

By the way, the 556 Mini-Grip is a better comparison to the 530 due to size. The 551 is the full-sized Grip, larger than the 556 and 551.

+1 for the 551, it`ll have a little extra umph for when you need it.
Check out the HK series by BM, ie the #14205, they are built like a tank!

And if I remember correctly, the 551 has partial liners as well. (But you're right, the 556 has full liners.)
