I got my 730 recently, and I love it. I was wondering a few things. I have seen posts in the past about 'gravity knives.' When I hold this knife horizontally, and release the lock, the blade simply swings open, with no resistance. This is awesome, but is it legal?

Also, I've seen posts about 'flicking' open knives. The same feature which makes this a gravity knife also allows it to be flipped open very quickly. Is this bad for the knife? Or is it just bad for linerlocks, and not the Axis?

Eric,
I would think that flicking knives open would be difficult on the stop pins, regardless of the lock type. I know that REKAT won't warranty a Rolling Lock if it shows signs of being abused ie: flicking open. The constant slamming of the blade against the stop pin elongates the holes causing the stop pin to rattle. I would think that any knife being flicked open would put similar stress on the stop pin.
