BM750 vs. Large Sebenza

I agree with what Longden said. I think the forums have one important obligation to members: education. Trolling posts shouldn't be deleted (well, there are probably some severe cases). Editing is okay and commentaries are probably necessary. We got new members coming everyday and we should help them see what's good or bad, IMHO. That said, I also see that moderators have (very) limited time resource to do all this. We just have to find good balance I think.

stjames, good point. I'd never done that myself and forgot we had that choice.

My apologies to the moderators for assuming they were the guns.

The moderators here do not delete or edit your posts. More than likely Kanji deleted his own post.

An appology would have been nicer, however.

Longden, actually I deleted those posts. It's not fair to just assume that the moderator deleted my posts. I didn't want create further trouble. Basically I said that The Benchmade 750 is crap and a lot of Benchmade 750 owners got pissed off. Hey chill, it's just my opinion. Don't have a heart attack. Yes I was rude, but hey, that's the way I am. People are different you know.

Kajnin, I would've preferred your posts left in place, but (I now know) it's basically your right to delete, and I respect both that right and your attempts to make things better. Thanks for the explanation.

It really sucked the other day I was writing this nice long, heart filled reply then forgot my pass word. So, here I am again. The Reeve is a very well made knife but very well should be for the amount of money you spend on it. Three of my compadres have them with only one that carries it as daily knife. I've found that after use the liner isn't as tight and vigorous as before. Naturally if you buy one you will automatically lose sleep over whether or not to carry the darn thing. On the other hand the 750 is a very stout knife. I bought one for my old man who does finish carpentry and I double dog dared him to tear up that knife, so far so good. My biggest argument for the Benchmade is that I've sent some pretty &%#!*$ up knives back for repairs and ended up with almost completely remade knives. I want also to note that one of those knives was an out of production Tsunami. That is pretty much how I feel about that, Reeve makes fantastic blades but rather pricey as well. Use the force. Thanks Darth Q.

I have A 750 BM,A small Sebenza and A S-2
all plain edges. I like all 3 knives or I wouldn't have bought them. The Sebenza was the only one I purchased sight unseen and was not disappointed. The Sebenza I purchased on reputation and it was every bit as nice and more than I thought it would be.The 750 and the S-2 are as close as I can get to the Sebenza and not have to use it where it might be lost or stolen. For the Prices paid all three knives deliver more value then the price.

Wow, hostility on an otherwise friendly forum. All are correct when you warn someone of inappropriate replies. I believe that most of us have respect for all the manufacturers and custom makers of cutlery. "Crap" was the feeble attempt I made to make a knife for myself a few years back. Benchmade knives are excellent. No one should call them crap. As for the Sebenza, it is a great folding knife; one that will last several lifetimes. However, either choice is a good choice. I depends on your desire and your pocket book.
