The blade is made of black Poly-Ceramic coated D2 tool steel known for its edge holding ability. It features a modified clip point with an acute tip. The coating of the blade protects the D2 steel from corrosion while at the same time it gives it a stealthy appearance. The combo edge is very sharp. Those serrations can go through the toughest fibrous material like a hot knife goes through butter! They are also easy to re-sharpen by using a Spyderco Sharpmaker.
The blade opens by means of an attractive ambidextrous thumb stud. The knife uses a patented AXIS locking mechanism to secure the blade stays either open or, closed. AXIS locking mechanism is one of the strongest locking mechanisms as far as folding knives go.
The handle is made of CNC machined billet 6061-T6 aluminium alloy double bolsters, matched with 3D CNC precision milled black G-10 inserts. It's also reinforced with 420J stainless steel liners. There is a carved skull on one of the G-10 inserts.
Perfectly executed jimping positioned exactly where it should be.
Overall it offers excellent purchase and allows the user to switch the blade orientation swiftly. One can go from a forward grip to an ice pick grip in a split second.
The reversible steel carrying clip the bears the HARLEY DAVIDSON logo and a skull.
