A BN is basically a SEAL 2001 without the SEAL stamp, and without the $700 pricetag. It's basically a BT with a longer tip. Look at www.striderknives.com to see what I mean. Look under "new knives" and you can see the SEAL 2000 and 2001 right next to each other. A SEAL 2000 is a BT, and a 2001 is a BN, which is not listed on their site.
Ahhhhh, now I see For a sec I thought the pic had a Seal 2001 w/ & w/o spine serrations. Got it, so the SEAL 2001 is simply the military contract named version of the BN.....
So I'm just guessing here, but if a BN is a Seal without serrations and Seal stamp and the accompanying price tag, how much would a serrated hollow-ground BN cost..
I was wondering what a BN was to. If anyone knows, what is the retail of the BN, with and without spine serrations? I'm thinking long term on a Strider full size, and the BN, or MT with SS are now neck and neck.
Of course a Strider full size would come after an HT, GB, and possably a DB, hope my wife never reads this. I'll end up with a Strider sticking out of my chest
A BN is around $425. Serrations add about $50 to the price.
Does anyone know if the BN or SEAL 2001 is bigger than a BT? I know the BN is longer by an inch. I'm sorta disappointed by the size of my BT. It's pretty narrow; only about 1 - 1.25"! It looked soooo much bigger online! Oh well...
Aluminum - could you post dimensions of your SEAL and BN's along with prices, please??? I think we would all appreciate it!
