Tried this at the Custom Forum w/o any luck. I'm interested in comments or info. on this custom maker from Jonesboro Tn. I know from Mr. Levine's book that Bob Conley has been at it since 1979. I recently picked up an equal end 2 blade jack knife with the finest file work I've ever seen, not to mention the extrordinary workmanship on the knife overall. Thanks

I must have missed this before but...

Bob does nice traditional slip joint and lockback folders - characterized by his own glorius scroll engraving. I especially like his leaf pattern engraving that he does on the blade and lock bar. His prices are very reasonable - but you might have to wait. As far as I know he only goes to the Blade Show.

He is a part-time/retired maker from Tenn.

Hope this helps,

Larry

Thanks Larry, it's a start. Felt like a tree that had fallen in the woods! FYI, my Conley has Yellowlip MOP handles and the leaf file work extends frome the tip of both blades, along the back springs and continues seamlessly around the end and onto the inside of the springs. Really impressive work. Would be right at home among all the nice gentleman's folders on your fine website. I bought a fine Whitewing Warlock in stag from you a while back, hope you continue to carry more traditional folders in the future. Thanks.
