Bob is a great guy, like John said. He recently finished up a couple of contractor stints in Afghanistan. I've got a double edge knife of his in Stag.
I would not hesitate to buy another knife from him. He spent some time with SR Johnson, Ricardo Velarde and I believe Buster. Could you find better makers to learn a bit from?
