Bob Dozier custom knife--worth wait time?

I'll have my Dozier order, a Red K9, in one month. Time flies.

The K-9 was the first Dozier I purchased. My EDC fixed blade is a Dozier Personal (K-36, I believe) with blue G-10 handles in CPM 154 and a sheepsfoot/wharncliffe design. I've always wandered why they don't do more colorful handles. Most are cochobolo, iron wood, and dark micarta. Nothing wrong with these handles however.

22- Do you still have your K9? I have one in Natural Micarta.
I bet you could request a certain handle color.

Mine is in either iron wood or cochobolo. I have trouble telling the two apart. But it has a wood handle.

Bob Dozier's knives are definitely worth the lead time. I have owned three of them and his knives are comfortable, practical, no nonsense designs that are worth every penny. You will not be disappointed.

I have had a pro guides knife, model 6,Arkansas toothpick. I gave the guides knife to my little brother as a birthday gift and I gave the model 6 to a friend and the Arkansas toothpick was lost in a house fire. I am hoping to get a ks7 wilderness knife someday.
