Posted this over on the general forum, but thought I would come here also. Just received this from Triple Aught, thanks Patrick! This is a KNIFE! It is built strong. The handles are the thickest pieces of titanium I have ever seen on a knife. The handle is very comfortable. It has no sharp edges to cut into your hand. The sharp edge this knife does have is on the edge of the D-2 blade. The blade is .155 thick and like a razor. Finish is a very pleasing satin brush. Lockup is super tight with the double liner lock system that Mr. Dozier has. Opening is as slick as any folder I have ever opened. One moderate flick has the blade snapped open and locked up, it almost feels like it has power assist! Closing the knife, the blade stops halfway through as blade meets detent. This acts as a blade stop on closing and will protect your fingers from that D-2 edge!
All in all this is one of the best, if not the best custom folder I have ever had!, and I've had 'em from Carson, Osborne, Pease, Gilbreath and others. Not saying these people don't build a good knife, because they do! Just saying that the Dozier has really taken me by its handfilling size, good simple lines, supertight lockup, and razor sharp, bowie looking blade!

Well, the Buckhunter so impressed me that I sold a couple of knives I had laying around and ordered the DPF Bone. This is the 3" bladed folder. Also ordered the TAD-S1 sheath that Patrick offers thru Triple Aught. If this sheath is anything like , and I'm sure it is, the one he offers for the CTII then it is a good sheath. Plan to carry the Buckhunter in this and the DPF in my pocket.
I would reccommend to anyone thinking about a Dozier folder to go ahead and order that sucker! It is a GREAT knife!!!

Art.......I'm interested in the BuckHunter too. I checked Bob's site and couldn't find one, nor at Triple Aught.

Do you know of a site that has pics and price of this model?
TIA...

Al,
There is still a picture of this knife on Patricks site. Look under custom knives, then Dozier. The Dozier site doesn't show any of these folders. Don't know why. I can tell you this; The Buckhunter is a KNIFE!!!

My mistake. The Buckhunter and the DPF are not on the Triple Aught site any longer. I can't post pictures or I would put some up for you to see. I can try to give you a description;
The closed length is 4.75" blade is 3.75"
total length opened is 8.5".
The blade is a clip point that looks a lot like a Buck 110 only wider and thicker.
Handle is titanium that is the same width from front to back. The back drops down a little and comes to a point sorta like a birds head look. The blade is 5/32" thick and is satin finished.
All in all a great looking knife.
Hope this helps a litle.

Thank you Art. Much appreciated!

I've seen a picture of a BuckHunter somewhere, and was pretty impressed. The folding hunters didn't really interest me, and that big one was...well...BIG.

The BH looks pretty nice for a medium sized working folder, and I'm going to check into some by Tom Mayo also....

Thanks again!
