Great observation on the 2 products. AFAIAC, they are both made by hand and jig. Bob is a humble guy, doesn't pretend to be something that he is not. Makes a great product, excellent designs and awesome Kydex sheaths.

Mike also is an upstanding guy who designs and makes quality using knives not only for the Bark River line but for other manufacturers as well.

You can't grow wrong with either maker/manufacturer or whatever you want to call them. The design and quality is there. The prices they charge are reasonable for the perceived name brand value. Is the Randall Made knife really twice as better (Read expensive) than the other guys products? No. They just have the history, military history, mostly that all the the knife nuts will always hold in high esteem.

I have had them all at one time or another but the production verses hand made argument gets blurry when we talk of proven designs and the use of excellent cutlery grade steels. Bottom line, they all stand behing their products 100% and we continue to buy them :)
