Bob Dozier VS Ontario RAT 1 folders

I have had 2 different doziers, There were good knives, pretty much bomb proof. I ended up giving them to my friend. I would get another though. The Rat-1 looks like a great knife as well. I handled the RAT-1 and honestly it seems like a better knife.

I just received a replacement RAT-1 from Ontario because I complained to them that my RAT-1 was difficult to open with my thumb using a slow motion or a thumb flick. I also find it difficult to close. In all of the YouTube videos on the RAT-1 everyone flicks this knife open as if it was an assisted opener.
The replacement I received today is more difficult to open than the one I sent back. I have loosened the pivot screw with no improvement. I have no trouble opening knives by Gerber, Spyderco and KA-BAR using the thumb flick.
Several YouTubers have complained that they also have trouble opening the RAT-1. One person said he needed a pry bar and a John Deere tractor to open his, but most seem to have no trouble. Any thoughts? Thanks.

Well, received my Rat-1 today. I'm impressed. Good quality and stout, a heavy knife that looks able to withstand some abuse...think I'm sold on Ontario/RAT knives.

Just got the RAT 1 too. Not a bad knife for the $. Tight, sharp, comfortable.

Time to put it through it's paces. :)
