I have a mint condition Bob Dozier Folding Hunter liner lock with blue/black carbon fiber handle scales and a satin finished D2 drop point blade for sale. In addition to being one of the top utility fixed blade makers around, Bob makes some of the toughest built folding knives in existence. This piece is the XL size, with a 4 1/8" blade and a 9 3/8" OAL, and it is constructed like a tank, with liners nearly 5/32" thick. In spite of its stout profile, it fills the hand nicely and feels comfortable in the grip.
The XL Folding Hunter listed here has never been carried, used, or resharpened, and its original edge from Bob is extremely sharp. The action is very smooth, and the knife can be easily opened with a good flick of the thumb. I uploaded a video here to demonstrate the action. The lock-up is rock solid, too. The blade centering is not perfect, but the blade does not rub against the liners.
***TRADED***
The specs:
Condition: Mint
Blade length: 4 1/8" from tip to handle
Overall length: 9 3/8"
Blade thickness: Just over 5/32" at ricasso
Blade material: D2
Blade finish: Handrubbed flats, satin grinds
Edge: Plain
Handle scale material: Blue/black carbon fiber, polished
Lock: Titanium liner lock, satin finished
Backspacer: Black G-10
Clip: Tip down, stainless steel, beadblasted
For payment on this piece, I can take USPS money orders and PayPal (add 3% in the US to cover most of the fees, 4% outside of the US). I can also take a personal check if I know you. If you are paying by PayPal, the payment has to be sent with a PayPal-confirmed address (including the green "confirmed" marker) listed in the invoice, and I will only ship to that PayPal-confirmed address. I reserve the right to wait for payments to clear before I ship.
I will consider trades (with appropriate cash adjustment) for custom folders and certain custom balis. I am especially interested in the following makers:
JL Williams
Charles Marlowe
Tim Galyean
Deryk Munroe
Jim Smyth
Kit Carson
Jim Burke
Gerry McGinnis
DB Fraley
Bob Lum
Mike Snody
Sal Manaro
Scott Cook
Ernie Emerson
Rick Hinderer
Matt Cucchiara
Todd Begg
Tom Mayo
Neil Blackwood
Ken Onion
Phil Boguszewski
Flavio Ikoma
I may consider trades for other custom folders or balis not listed above. However, I am not interested in serrated blades, production knives, or fixed blades other than those by John Young or Russ Andrews.
Please feel free to contact me with any questions. Thanks for looking!
