I was just wondering what the story is on Bob Glassman. We have both put out the first feelers on doing some business so I searched GB&U as I always do. Almost everything I saw was positive but then noticed he has been banned. I dont want to stir up anything, just curious as we made do business. Like I said feedback on him was good.

He was banned because he was a dealer and was selling knives on Bladeforums without paying for a dealer membership.

The reason that was given for Bob being banned from Bladeforums was the one I posted above. The fact is, Bob never advertised a knife for sale here. Spark must have determined that he was somehow using his membership here to sell knives. Other than the fact that he had a link to his website in his profile (something that was there from the start, as far as I know), I have no idea what he might have been doing.
Anyway, in my opinion Bob is a great guy and you won't go wrong doing business with him.

Bob had plenty of for sale posts here in the Custom Knives for sale by individual when he was a dealer and that is a fact. All that time he was denying the fact that he was a dealer.
He was also using the gallery to post his newly acquired knives that were up for sale.
At the same time, on a personal note, I have met him, like him and feel he is running a good, honest and fair dealership and have no qualms doing business with him.

Gus, I did a search for any posts by Bob in the Custom Knives For Sale forum and can't find one. He was never a paying member as far as I know, so I don't think he would have been able to sell.

He was a gold member for a long time. All the old posts in the exchange forums were purged a while back when we were short of hardware resources.
