Are the C46's (Spyderco Bob Lum Folding Tanto's) decent blades? Any owners have any problem with them? Any one got one for sale?

I have one with a titanium hand I find it to be a very well made and comfortable piece, the blade shape is definitely not for everybody. and I don't use it for carry much partially because it is rather valuable knife. It is a fairly interesting knife and that it has two distinct edges with two different grinds the primary edge is a regular v grind, in the front edge is a kind of thick convex edge, especially made for piercing, armor traditionally but any hard surface you need to get thrown a pinch. It is very true to Bob Lum's custom designs and I think it is a worthwhile acquisition if you can get one. they run somewhere between $175 and $225 or more. Mine was additionally be blasted and has jumping for extra grip on the liner lock. which adds to the function of the knife, while destroying a lot of its collectors value. which is kind of a plus because it makes it easier to hold onto and use occasionally. Good luck

I've got one NIB. It's a drawer queen. Like to fondle it from time to time. Unsure about selling it at this stage. It's the only knife I own that I like for purely aesthetic reasons.

I have a plain edge black one with a black blade. I have had it for 2-3 years now and it is still vault like with zero play. Liner lock. I EDC it in the Army during that time.

The steel is VG-10 which most people love. Out of all my Spyderco's it is the most dull out of the factory. I believe I read they gave it a weird grind that was sharp towards the handle and the tip was left almost dull but very strong. You can see with the naked eye how it angle of the blade widens on its way out.

The black finish is perfect on mine despite the heavy use, they should do the pocket clips in this stuff because it doesn't seem to wear off or scratch easily. My clip shows typical wear and scratches.

Finally for a large knife (8 3/4 in same size as the Manix), especially a Spyderco knife, the footprint in the pocket is very slim. Lum's magic ensures it still feels great in the hand.

Good luck finding one, fortunately for you they are not crazy expensive like the Lum Chinese Folder. I can't wait for the ZPD Chinese Folder to come out!
