These are called bob. (for bug out bag).
I've never found a PSK knife or flat knife for a kit or ditch bag that I really liked. So I decided to try my hand at making some. These are all filed with notches to assist in lashing to a pole, have tang holes for attaching scales, and take a nice cord wrap.
There's some photos of testing over in the W&S thread here:

They hold up well to my throwing and cutting tests, and javelin tossing.
All are .095 15N20 steel, tempered a bit hotter than usual for durability. All have convex edges and work well as real knives. Tang holes are drilled out to 13/64 (fat 3/16) and fit chicago screws. Finish is steel wool rubbed forge scale, with grinds done to a worn 320 grit and stropped.
There's necker size ones and the standard ones available in this batch-
necker sized ones are around 5.25 OAL with about a 2 inch blade. Regular sized ones are 7 inches +/- with blade lengths around 3 to 3.5 inches.
small sized ones are $36 shipped in tlhe US, larger ones $40. There's a couple with cord wraps further down, those are $40 for a necker and $45 for a regular size one. Sheaths for cord wrapped ones are $10 for a necker of $15 for a simple belt pouch style. Any of these can be wrapped or provided with sheaths. Paypal and money orders preferred.
1,3,5,8,11 are SOLD
both wrapped neckers are SOLD
regular sized
necker sized
wrapped ones- green is coreless stuff, maroon and grey wraps are 330 cord. all have a rubber underwrap that can be used for...whatever you need. Nothing glued except a dot on the back knot, easy enough to remove for use. neckers have 2.5 feet of cord, regular sized ones close to 4 feet.
and some in hand shots
