I just wanted to let everyone know that the Rat Shaker sale I made to Bodhi in South Africa went over with no problems from his end.

I had some difficulty from my end since this was my first time shipping internationally, and he was very patient with that.

He has a low post count right now, but I would not hesitate to do business with him again.

Air Parcel Post for $19 - This was supposed to arrive in less than a week. It actually took about three weeks, but apparently got there safely.

Return receipt cost $1.85. They are supposed to mail me a delivery confirmation, but I have yet to receive this. The package did arrive this past Wed or Thursday.

The knife was insured for $150, and this cost $3.85.

The grand total for shipping was $24.65 actual costs.

Someone had told me you could not ship insured overseas or delivery confirmation, but I was able to do both.

I did go through a buddy to use paypal, and this sped everything up greatly. We did wait for the funds to clear his account before shipping.

BTW, the USPO website was of no use. The costs projections were all over the place.

According to the UPS website I could have shipped with them for better than $100. Of course they would have given me the benefit of getting the package there quicker.
